You tell SideHero a goal you want to reach. It asks a few questions, turns your answer into a plan of daily steps scheduled around your week, then checks in with you — with reminders, habit tracking and short coaching messages — until you get there.
SideHero is free to start and includes an allowance of coaching credits so you can create your first plan and use the app day to day. A Premium subscription raises that allowance and unlocks additional goals. You can use the free tier without entering payment details.
Subscriptions are billed by the app store you bought them from, and are cancelled there — not in the SideHero app.
Cancelling stops future renewals; your Premium access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Refunds are handled by the store that processed your payment, not by us. On iOS, use reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android, use the Google Play order history or Google's refund request form. If a charge looks wrong to you, email us as well and we will help you sort it out.
Open Settings in the app, tap the upgrade option, and choose Restore Purchases. Make sure your device is signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account you bought with. If that does not resolve it, email support@sidehero.ai with your account email and the approximate date of purchase.
SideHero's reminders need notification permission to appear.
Yes. Open the objective, find the habit or reminder you want to move, and tap Change Schedule on it. Notifications are rescheduled to the new time automatically.
Your objectives and conversations are held on the device you created them on, so they do not currently sync between devices. Your subscription does follow your account. If you need help moving between devices, get in touch.
You can request full deletion of your SideHero account and its associated data at any time:
Deletion removes your account record, and the objectives and conversations held on our systems, within 30 days of a verified request. Uninstalling the app removes the copy of your data stored on your device. Cancelling a subscription is separate from deleting your account — cancel it in the App Store or Google Play first if you no longer want to be billed.
What we collect and why is set out in full in our Privacy Policy. In short: we do not sell your personal data, we do not use it for advertising, and SideHero does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, calendar or SMS.
SideHero provides general motivational and organisational coaching. It is not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and AI-generated content can be inaccurate — please use your own judgement. If you are struggling with your mental health, please contact a qualified professional or your local support service.
